What specific research interest are you pursuing with your NWG?

Sebastian Fudickar (NWG-Leiter): "The MoveGroup aims to develop methods and approaches to improve the integration and analysis of multimodal sensor signals and clinical data for the diagnosis and research of neurological movement disorders."

Which specific research interest motivated you to become part of a junior research group?

Roland Stenger: "The thematic proximity and the possibility of close cooperation with the UKSH attracted me to the junior research group. I particularly appreciate the proximity to patients through applied research, which enables me to see the relevance of my research directly."

️How would you describe your research work in medical informatics to someone who is not familiar with the field?

Gabriela Ciortuz: "As part of my research work in medical informatics, I process sensor data to model and analyse body movements. The aim is to gain insights that can support medical decision-making processes, e.g. through the development of personalised training and rehabilitation programs as well as fall detection and prevention programs."

What has been the most exciting finding or the most surprising result for you so far as part of the junior research group's work?

Hawzhin Hozhabr Pour: "One exciting finding was to see how interdisciplinary collaboration between computer scientists, neurologists, physiotherapists, etc. produces innovative solutions that can significantly improve not only diagnostics, but also patients' quality of life."
