The joint project "basic services for Training and Continuous Education within the Medical Informatics Initiative" (baseTraCE) serves as a central hub for the MII's further education and training measures.
The digitalisation of medicine and the development and use of new information technologies are creating new and exciting fields of activity. The further training of people in healthcare is of great importance – in particular the handling of data-driven research methods and the linking of information technology and medicine.
The main aim of baseTraCE is to secure basic operations. The consortia are supported both technically and organisationally in the sustainable continuation of the training and further education courses they have already developed. The learning content is made available to the entire MII community.
At a technical level, the central infrastructures for teaching and knowledge management will be continued. The aim is to create a collaborative working environment.
In organisational terms, baseTraCE is concerned with the coordination of existing and future teaching offerings within the MII and related areas. This also includes identifying and communicating needs and requirements in the area of skills acquisition.
